How sad that summer has passed away
The daisy-chains are yesterday
And all around the blooms do fade
That sunshine in its warmth were made
The wispy clouds have turned to grey
Hang heavy through a shortening day
A robin dons red-breasted coat
Dandelion seeds no longer float
A lowering sun promise early night
To drape the land in evening light
Warm breezes now have caught a chill
Rainbows no longer colours spill
For winter's breath will soon be here
To kiss a dewdrop's frozen tear.
A pretty for a change!

Lol. I was feeling that I read this at a perfect time then I saw that you wrote this 23rd November 2010! Almost a year ago.
I really like the tone of this. It has a hint of being defeated by winter and reminiscing about what has passed. Summer seems so far away :(
