Literature Text

I do so love thee, oh autumn sigh
Smiling farewell to summer blaze
I stroll amidst your whispering limbs
Displaying gowns in sunlit haze
Of red and gold, all rustic hues
Soft breezes dance the leaves to earth
A fluttering chorus, thy curtain call
Preparing for a next year's birth
A band of trees defiant stand
Up there upon a hill's proud crest
Displaying autumn's colour song
Soon to lay their leaves to rest
Crisp leaves disturbed by my footfall
To leave the bare trees pointing high
A pause before the winter snap
I bid farewell to autumn sigh.
Well it was a quickie, and a soppy.
I saw the sun touch a leaf.

Beautifully penned and as dreamy as a poetic autumn sigh should be. :rose:
